Child Safety Standards
Last updated: July 2026
Tree Poetry Leaves has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material of any kind. This page describes our standards, prevention practices, and how to report a concern.
Our Standard
Tree Poetry Leaves strictly prohibits any content, behavior, or use of the app that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or otherwise harms minors, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, or the solicitation of minors. This applies to all text, images, usernames, and any other content submitted within the app.
Prevention Practices
- Content moderation: User-submitted text is automatically screened for prohibited content before publication.
- In-app reporting: Every poem, verse, and user profile in the app includes a "Report" option that any user can use to flag content or accounts, including child safety concerns, directly to our moderation team.
- Human review: All reports are reviewed by our team through an internal moderation system, which can remove content, reject contributions, and suspend or ban accounts.
- Blocking: Users can block any other user at any time, immediately preventing that user's content from appearing to them.
Legal Compliance
Tree Poetry Leaves complies with all applicable child safety laws. Where we identify or are made aware of CSAM or CSAE on our platform, we remove the content and, where legally required, report it to the relevant regional and national authorities, including but not limited to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States.
How to Report a Concern
To report a child safety concern:
- Use the "Report" option available on any poem, verse, or user profile within the app, or
- Email us directly at poet@treepoetry.org with details of your concern.
All reports are treated with urgency and reviewed promptly.
